New Permit Office in Slidell
Replaces Towers Bldg. Office

          The St. Tammany Parish Department of Permits & Regulatory temporary office in the Levee Building, located at 61134 Military Road, just north of Brownswitch Rd., east of Slidell, is now a fully functioning permit office.  The office is staffed with permit department personnel able to assist citizens will every type of parish permit. 

                “Opening the Levee Building as a complete permit office will assist citizens from across St. Tammany,” said Parish President Kevin Davis.  “The loss of the Towers Building after Hurricane Katrina left the Koop Drive office as the only office able to handle the full range of permits.  The Levee Building office is much more convenient for citizens on the eastern side of the parish and will reduce their travel time.  Having this second office open will also reduce the wait times at the Koop Drive office.”
