Stressed Out?
That’s Normal.
Forgetting names? Feeling tired? Are you short tempered? You’re
not alone.
In her list of presents to St. Tammany Parish, Hurricane Katrina also included post traumatic stress syndrome. According to Vanice Packer Zenon, Instructor of Clinical Psychiatry at the LSU Health Sciences Center and Dr. Joan Archer, counselor, post-traumatic stress syndrome is a normal reaction post-Katrina.
Archer and Zenon are featured on a new Access St. Tammany special “Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome.” They discuss the symptoms of PTSD, its influence on family and community life in an easy to follow, sometimes humorous, hour-long discussion.
Access St. Tammany, shown on Cable Channel 10, will air “Post Traumatic Stress Syndome” next Monday, December 12th at 9:00 PM, Tuesday the 13th at 9:00 AM and Wednesday, the 14th at 6:30 PM. Additional airings will be scheduled during the holiday season.
