St. Tammany Arts Commission Post-Katrina Survey
For Arts Organizations, Arts Businesses, and Individual Artists
 

            St. Tammany Parish Government and the St. Tammany Arts Commission are committed to providing support for the arts in our community.

            We recognize that many difficulties have arisen since Hurricane Katrina struck in August, and that the impact of the storm is being felt throughout the non-profit community and by artists and arts organizations in particular.

            We have developed 2 surveys to assess the needs of the arts community in St. Tammany Parish. Completion of the surveys will aid us in determining the types and volume of assistance needed in St. Tammany Parish to sustain and promote the arts.

            Information you provide will be used to facilitate services and programs the Arts Commission offers in St. Tammany Parish, and to provide data to state and national organizations that may be in a position to offer help.

            We encourage every artist, organization and business to participate. Please download and complete the appropriate survey at http://www.stpgov.org/arts/arts_recovery.html . Please return your completed survey to us by March 1, 2006. Instructions for completion are on the website.

            At the end of the assessment process we will implement an action plan to move the arts forward in St. Tammany.
