Tammany Trace Sections Open

            The Tammany Trace will open an additional section from Slidell to Lacombe on Saturday, February 4^th.   The re-opened section is between Christa Drive and Oaklawn Dr., just east of Bayou Lacombe.  This joins the section from Christa to Neslo Drive making a full 6.5 mile open stretch.

            Beginning Saturday, February 11^th, an additional section of the Tammany Trace will reopen from the Abita Bridge to Highway 21 in Covington.  This joins the section from the Mandeville Trailhead to the Abita Bridge, making an 11.5 mile section.

            Tammany Trace Director Lisa Pratt hopes to have the Lacombe section of the Trace open in early March.  As additional debris clearing and repairs are completed, more sections of the Tammany Trace will reopen.
