FOURTEENTH ‘NORTHSHORE NEWS’ TO AIR THIS WEEK
The 14th edition of “Northshore News” will be broadcast this week on Charter Channel 10, with continued coverage of post-Katrina issues affecting St. Tammany.
Guests in this edition include Public Service Commissioner Jay Blossman, who discusses the restoration of services after the hurricane and the potential for reparation costs to reach the consumer; Parish Engineering Director Jean Thibodaux, who addresses efforts to clear blocked waterways and enhance drainage by removing debris; local Realtor Amy Jones, who talks about the impact of Katrina on St. Tammany’s real estate market; and computer consultants Mark Olivier of Computer Troubleshooters and Susanna Holmes of Optima Computers, who discuss recent computer viruses and their potential impact on recovery of both individuals and businesses.
Parish President Kevin Davis launched “Northshore News” last October to provide residents with information about the Katrina disaster, recovery efforts, and the ongoing impact on St. Tammany. The program addresses short- and long-term effects, including economic and health-related issues, the state Legislature and local governments, and the efforts of and impact on non-profit organizations.
“Northshore News” airs daily at 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. on Charter Cable Channel 10. It can also be viewed online at www.stpgov.org.
