Decentralized Arts Funding Grants Program
Workshop Reminder
Guidelines and application forms are now available for the Decentralized Arts Funding (DAF) Grants Program in St. Tammany Parish, and may be downloaded at www.stpgov.org/arts. Applications are available for arts project assistance, and organizational support. All projects must occur between October 1, 2006 and September 30, 2007 (Fiscal Year 2007 - FY07).
The purpose of the grant program is to provide funding for arts and cultural projects in every parish of the state. The program is administered by the St. Tammany Parish Department of Cultural & Governmental Affairs and the St. Tammany Arts Commission. Applicants compete only with other organizations in St. Tammany and decisions are made locally. The Decentralized Arts Funding Program is funded by the State of Louisiana, Division of the Arts.
Applications are due Friday, June 9, 2006.
The DAF program is currently open to all 501(c) status non-profit groups presenting arts programming. In previous years only 501(c) 3 groups were eligible.
The St. Tammany Arts Commission will host a series of workshops explaining the program guidelines and how to fill in the application forms.
If you have questions about the Decentralized Funding Program or any of our workshops, please contact Dána La Fonta, St. Tammany Parish Arts Coordinator, at 898-3011.
