St. Tammany Arts
Commission Announces
Second Round of Louisiana Decentralized Arts Funding Grants
- APPLICATION DEADLINE: Friday, September 15
This year the St. Tammany Arts Commission is accepting applications for additional Decentralized Arts Funding Grants for St. Tammany Parish.
Due to an unforeseen increase in funding there is a small pool of money available for additional grants for the 2006-2007 grant fiscal year. The deadline to apply for these funds is Friday, September 15, 2006.
Guidelines and application forms are available for the program in St. Tammany Parish, and may be downloaded at www.stpgov.org/arts.
Applications are available for arts project assistance only. If you applied in the first round this year, and did not receive funding, you may re-apply. Contact Dána La Fonta at 985-898-3011 for instructions. If your organization received full or partial funding you are not eligible to apply for the same project. Please contact us if you have questions regarding eligibility requirements. All projects must occur between December 1, 2006 and September 30, 2007.
The program is administered by the St. Tammany Parish Department of Cultural and Governmental Affairs and the St. Tammany Arts Commission. Applicants compete only with other organizations in St. Tammany and decisions are made locally. The Decentralized Arts Funding Program is funded by the State of Louisiana, Division of the Arts.
The DAF program is currently open to all 501(c) status non-profit groups presenting arts programming, schools, PTA’s and artists or groups with a qualified fiscal agent.
If you have questions about the program contact Dána La Fonta, St. Tammany Parish Arts Coordinator, at 985-898-3011 or email lafonta@stpgov.org.
