ST. TAMMANY ART ASSOCIATION IS SENDING OUT A CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS FOR THE ST. TAMMANY NATIONAL ONE-ACT PLAY FESTIVAL, IN HONOR OF WALKER PERCY: The festival will be held January 12-13, 2007 at the Greater Covington Center. Four one-acts will be chosen to be presented as rehearsed readings during the two-day festival. Each of the winning playwrights will receive a $100 prize and an opportunity to see their work presented to the public with a critique by a panel of theatre professionals. A recently announced “Art for Artifact” program will give a limited edition color reproduction of a 1920’s era poster promoting the City to anyone providing useful historical information that can be used in the Cultural and Interpretive Center planned at the Trailhead in Old Mandeville.
